When disaster strikes, whether from a burst pipe, severe flooding, or a fire, swift action is essential to minimize damage to your home or business. At D & N Water Damage, we specialize in comprehensive Water damage restoration services in Clarks Summit, PA, ensuring that your property is restored to its pre-loss condition as quickly as possible. With 24/7 emergency services and a team of certified professionals, we’re here to help you every step of the way.
Water damage can be deceptive, with much of the destruction occurring behind walls, beneath floors, and within your home’s structure. At D & N Water Damage, our water damage restoration services go beyond the surface to fully address all forms of water damage—from leaks and burst pipes to large-scale flooding. We start with a thorough inspection using advanced moisture detection tools, including thermal imaging cameras and hygrometers, to locate hidden water pockets. Quick water extraction is crucial to prevent further damage, so we use powerful pumps and vacuums to remove standing water immediately.
After extraction, the drying process begins. Industrial-grade dehumidifiers and air movers ensure the removal of even the smallest trace of moisture. This prevents structural damage and stops mold before it starts. We don’t just dry your space—we thoroughly sanitize and deodorize it to eliminate bacteria, mildew, and unpleasant odors. Should any materials be too damaged to salvage, we’ll handle demolition and disposal, followed by full-scale repairs and reconstruction to restore your property to its original condition. Every step is carefully documented for insurance purposes, ensuring a smooth claims process.
Fire damage can be overwhelming, affecting not only the structure of your home but also its contents. At D & N Water Damage, we understand the complexities of fire restoration—it's not just about repairing what’s visible. Fires leave behind corrosive soot, damaging smoke, and even water damage from firefighting efforts. Our first step is an in-depth assessment to evaluate the extent of both visible and hidden damage.
Our team uses specialized equipment to carefully remove soot and ash from all surfaces, preventing permanent staining or corrosion. Smoke often penetrates deep into walls, floors, and even air ducts, so we deploy high-efficiency air scrubbers and ozone generators to neutralize odors and purify the air. For items like furniture, electronics, and personal belongings, we offer content cleaning and restoration services, using ultrasonic cleaning and specialized drying chambers.
Fire damage restoration doesn’t stop with cleaning. We also handle full reconstruction of damaged areas, from rebuilding walls and replacing floors to restoring your roofing and insulation. Our goal is to restore your home to its pre-fire condition, and we work tirelessly to ensure every detail is attended to, right down to the finishing touches.

The first settler in the area currently known as Clarks Summit was William Clark. Clark had fought in the Battle of Bunker Hill during the Revolutionary War, and as payment for his military service, he was issued 800 acres (3.2 km2) of Pennsylvania land by Congress. Because of disputes between Pennsylvania and Connecticut over the area of land that is now northern Pennsylvania (resulting in the Pennamite-Yankee War), the land deed issued to Clark was deemed invalid by the Luzerne County land grant office. Clark had no choice but to pay for the land himself. In March 1799, Clark and his three sons moved into a log cabin in the Abington wilderness, located on what is currently the Clarks Green Cemetery. The first school was built in 1893 and was destroyed by fire two years later. The village of Clarks Summit and an adjacent tract of land were incorporated into the Borough of Clarks Summit on August 30, 1911.
